Luxury Suite of the week:The Executive Suite with Terrace at the Intercontinental De La Ville Roma.

Ideally located at the top of the Spanish Steps,Intercontinental De La Ville Roma actually differs from other Intercontinental Hotels.Housed in an elegant 17^th century building-with an even more beautiful patio- that perfectly stays in step with the city’s architecture and tradition,it looks like a pretty boutique hotel,however it is much larger.Its cozy lobby and its welcoming staff immediately make the guest feel comfortable and relaxed.Its inner courtyard landscaping looks very pleasant.Beautiful furniture items,structures decorated with flowers and charming details create a wonderful outdoor seating area,the perfect place to have breakfast,rest and enjoy tranquility.

At the same time,Terrazza Roma is a stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the city.The restaurant serves Italian specialties.It is the ideal place to taste the local Cuisine,while enjoying gorgeous panoramic views of the city or have an afternoon aperitif while watching the sunset over Rome’s famous landmarks such as the St Peter’s Basilica and the Vittoriano.

There are rooms facing the street (Via Sistina) and rooms facing the delightful patio,while others offer spectacular views of the Eternal City.

I had the luck-thank you so much Intercontinental De La Ville Roma - to enjoy 3 amazing days and 3 magical nights at the Executive Suite with Terrace.

Situated at the hotel’s top floors,this suite offers plenty of space,a king bed,a comfortable seating area with an LCD tv and a fully equipped mini bar,an oversized working desk,a big closet,a spacious bathroom and,of course,one of the most beautiful balconies in the city center.

Room amenities include everything you demand from a Luxury 5 star hotel such as high speed wifi, complimentary tea and coffee,an espresso coffee machine,luxurious toiletries,slippers and bathrobes,luxury bed linen.

Its good design and its refined decoration(I felt though that some parts need renovation) make this room so pleasant to spend time in.Really enjoyed my leisure time with delicious Italian red wine from the hotel’s fine wine list.

But how many good words could I write about the balcony??

Forget relaxing at a normal terrace,this suite’s terrace take it to the next level.Looking like a meeting point from a romantic movie,this absolutely fabulous balcony is very big,incredibly located and offers extraordinary views of the Eternal City,its rooftops and its popular attractions.It is specifically designed so that the guest can make the most of it.A table with chairs in the middle, pretty flower pots- flower planters and two sun beds make this place look even more beautiful.I had an ultimate experience enjoying my cappuccino under the bright sun and admiring the splendid nightscape with a glass of Chardonnay in my hand.As for the sunset? Still have this magnificent picture on my mind:The sun goes down and gently touches the St Peter’s Basilica’s dome.This balcony composes a dreamy scenery.It makes that the guest have the most amazing experience ever.

I was so sad to hear that Intercontinental De La Ville Roma will no more trade as a hotel from the 24^th March 2016.Despite this fact,I still wanted to express my point of view,to share with you my wonderful experience. Finally,I would like to give special thanks to Intercontinental De La Ville Roma and the lovely staff for making my stay unforgettable.
